There are still three more nights of Chanukah! You still have time to whip up this really easy and beautiful Chanukah treat for giving or just enjoying. You will need:
- Fudge. Use any of your favorite fudge recipes. I used 2 Minute Microwave Fudge from Food.com.
- Round cookie cutter or other cutting device
- Small Star of David cookie cutter
Prepare your fudge according to the directions. Line the pan with parchment because you will need to lift out the fudge later. You can make your fudge in any thickness from 1/4″ or more. Thinner is better because fudge is so rich but don’t go under 1/4″ or you might have trouble handling the gelt.
When the fudge is done, lift it out of the pan and cut it into circles. Using the reverse side of the Star of David cutter, press the cutter gently into the top of the fudge to make a bold impression.
For giving away as a gift, wrap in wrinkled parchment and tie with blue and white bakers twine.
