So, here she is! It is not the Bohemian Beauty of my dreams, but it was economically put together with much of what I had around the house. As I mentioned the other day, we built it with PVC pipes and I rummaged around in the garage for much of the white fabric (curtain cast-offs that I hadn’t gotten rid of). I also found a chandelier orb which I didn’t know I still had…it’s amazing what is in my garage. The three brown fabrics were procured at Goodwill. All the furniture, plants, and accessories were already on my patio, so it was just a matter of moving them under the sukkah. The schach I cut down myself from my own overgrown trees.
I’ve got two furniture arrangements for the sukkah. This one is the “lounge” arrangement but when I have friends over for dinner I will move the patio dining set in there.
All told, here is what I spent:
$50 PVC pipes $10 Cinder blocks and Quikete $10 Goodwill fabric $70 Total
And a special thanks goes to my friend Jen from B&G Photography who took these fantastic photos. Even the moon never looked so good.
