Discounted Tree Decorations for Tu B’Shevat

There is really no better time to buy tree themed decorations than after Christmas and around the new year. Fortunately for Jews that is also just before we celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the New Year for Trees. If you are looking to add some tree decorations to your house take a look at these discounted items.

Shalom! Beautiful trees! I love how the Jews celebrate the life of the trees rather than cutting them down as we see millions do on Dec. 25th. As I did further research, I read up on T Bu’Shevat. My question here is since this is schmitta year, is the first fruit harvested off of these “living trees”? Todah!

Hi Dianne! I thought all non-foraging harvesting is forbidden in a schmita year but I suggest you contact your rabbi for real guidance. There are a lot of differences in how various communities observe a Sabbath Year.
