Let’s face it: it doesn’t matter how many cakes you pin on Pinterest, it doesn’t make you a better baker. Last year I showed you a brilliant hack to make a naked honey cake for Rosh Hashanah, but this year I have something even better…and quicker!
Just like a great necklace can make your whole outfit look good, this cake topper makes even a store-bought cake look like you had it catered. To take this picture, I bought a $9 Ralph’s cake with $3 of foliage and voilá! A festive, Rosh Hashanah dessert that looks like I went to the best bakery in town and it only took me 10 minutes (including the drive to Ralphs!)
The cake topper is made of wood and is sealed in a food-safe paint. After use, you can wipe it with a dry kitchen towel and use it again and again. The greeting “Chag Sameach” is good for any Jewish holiday including Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Purim, Shavuot, etc.
