Every year I make sure you are aware of the smokin’ hot Hanukkah gifts so you don’t give like a schlemiel. So, without further ado…
8 Hottest Hanukkah Gifts of 2017
1 | Nosh Menorah by Modern Mensch. The Nosh Menorah is hands-down the most novel piece of Judaica launched this year. It comes in silver, brass, and oooh…rose gold. Sold wherever fine Judaica is sold and online too.
2 | Enamel Pins by Piece of History from Chai & Home. It’s so hard to find hip, fun Jew-lery. If I didn’t think they weren’t completely fab, I wouldn’t stock them. A Bubbe’s Bargain to boot at $9/each.
3 | Modern Jewish Cooking by Leah Koenig. Every year provides a wheelbarrow full of kosher cookbooks but this one has compelling recipes and tons of pictures, which I like (need).
4 | Fidget Spinner Dreidel by Rite Lite from Traditions Jewish Gifts. So 10 years from now you won’t forget the fad. You can actually play dreidel with these although I imagine it would take ages for it to stop spinning. It is widely carried at local Judaica stores as well as online.
5 | Dreidel T-Shirt by Lola Bleutique on Etsy. Hanukkah clothing is definitely “a thing” although much of it sadly borrows from the ugly Christmas sweater tradition. No so this t-shirt and Lola Bleutique has it in all sizes ranging from baby to teenager.
6 | Measures Tea Towel from Jayson Home. This tea towel is a rare combination of chic and useful.
7 | 200 Women: Who Will Change The Way You See The World by Blackwell, et al. Women are definitely “a thing” this year so while we wait for the backlash buy all the women’s empowerment items you can.
8 | Cinnamon & Chocolate Babkas from World Market. These kosher babkas are getting great reviews. Perfect for sending to a Jew in the hinterland.
So this is your shortlist for sales this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I’ll have one of each, please!
